This is my third year of teaching English at Keystone School District. I am proud to be a Keystone Panther, and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to grow as a teacher with each passing year. Prior to teaching here, I worked as an English as a Second Language (ESL) Paraprofessional back at my old high school (North Hills High School in Pittsburgh). Before that, I was a substitute teacher at various schools in the Pittsburgh area.
I graduated in 2011 from Duquesne University with a B.S. in Education, a B.A. in English, and my Instructional Technology Specialist certificate. Last spring I began working on my M.Ed in Education with a Technology concentration at Clarion University. A key ingredient of success is the ability to open one's mind to learning something new with every experience, and I happily consider myself a lifelong learner, as this is something I strive to model to my students.
Aside from teaching, I love hiking, ziplining, and kayaking...I enjoy finding new adventures! Speaking of adventures, this summer I got married and began coaching JV volleyball with the district. I am excited to begin the school year and see what else lies in store for 2015-2016!
